Delete your account

This page applies to every Code Red app and extension.

Accounts are optional: the apps work without one, and an account only exists if you chose Sign in with Google. One account is shared by every Code Red app, so deleting it removes it for all of them.

Delete it in the app (instant)

1. Open any Code Red app.
2. Go to Settings → Account. It shows the Google account you are signed in with.
3. Tap Delete account & cloud data.
4. Type delete to confirm and tap Delete account. You may be asked to confirm with Google first.

Deletion happens straight away.

Or delete it on the web

Sign in at account.code-red.app with the same Google account, open Privacy and data and delete your account. This works even if you no longer have any of the apps.

What is deleted

• Your account (Google name, email address, profile photo link and account identifier).
• Which Code Red apps you signed in to, and when.
• All settings you chose to sync.
• Your supporter status.
• Your membership of anything you shared with other people: you are removed from it.

What is kept

• Payment records for tips and balance top-ups: a scrambled (hashed) payment reference, the product, its status and time are kept for refunds, disputes and legal record-keeping for up to 6 years. They are detached from your account when it is deleted. Stripe and Google Play keep their own payment records under their policies.
• What you shared with other people stays for them, so their records still add up. It is no longer linked to your account.
• Data on your devices: what you created in the apps and kept on your phone or browser stays there. Delete it in the app's settings or by uninstalling the app.
